2008 Tahbilk Shiraz

Picked this up at Dan Murphy's as a cellar release. A pretty serious wine at a very fair price. I'll grab some more of this to share with my Shiraz loving mates.

Black fruit, spice, and maybe a hint of leather on the nose. Tannins have mellowed and come together nicely. Dark berry, plum, and anise flavors stick around on the palate for the right ammount of time. Improved a lot in the the decanter over a few hours, and the initial sulfur aromas left within minutes.

Was just what my steak was asking for. Drinking nice now, I wouldn't put this one away for any more time. Probably best to drink this with a big piece of red meat.
